TERMS AND CONDITIONS1. IntroductionWelcome to Choosing Your Uni ("Platform"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Platform, including any content, functionality, and services offered on or through the Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
2. EligibilityThe Choosing Your Uni platform is designed primarily for Australian high school students aged 14-18 and their parents or guardians. However, the platform may also be accessed by younger or older students, educators, and international users who may find the content relevant. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Registration and AccountsTo use certain features of the Choosing Your Uni platform, users must create an account. When registering, users are required to provide accurate and complete information, including their first name, birth date, high school name, current school year, postcode, and whether they identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials, including their password. If you allow others to access your account, you are responsible for their actions. Choosing Your Uni will not be liable for any unauthorised access or actions taken under your account due to a failure to secure your login information.
4. Use of the Platform4.1. Permitted UseThe Platform is provided solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You may use the Platform to explore university options, take quizzes, and access content provided by the Platform.
4.2. Prohibited UseYou agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that may harm or disrupt the Platform. Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to: Engaging in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Platform or its servers. Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other user accounts. Impersonating any person or entity or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity. Uploading or transmitting any harmful or malicious code or content. Using the Platform to harass, abuse, or harm another person. Copying information from the platform, except for personal use.
5. Intellectual Property5.1. OwnershipAll content, trademarks, and intellectual property rights on the Platform are the property of Choosing Your Universe Pty Ltd or its licensors. You may not use, copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the Platform without our express written permission.
5.2. User ContributionsBy participating in quizzes or providing personal information on the Choosing Your Uni platform, you retain ownership of your data. Any feedback or testimonials you voluntarily provide may be used by Choosing Your Uni to improve our services or for promotional purposes. In such cases, you grant Choosing Your Uni a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your feedback or testimonials.

9.3. AI-Generated Content and RecommendationsThe Choosing Your Uni platform utilises AI technology, including our AI advisor, Lumen, to provide recommendations and guidance based on user input. While we strive to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the information and recommendations provided, these are generated based on algorithms and available data and should be considered as part of your broader decision-making process. The AI-generated content does not constitute professional advice, and Choosing Your Uni does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of such content. 10. IndemnificationYou agree to indemnify and hold harmless Choosing Your Uni, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
11. ModificationsWe reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after the changes have been made constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
