CYU is an independent Australian platform, not affiliated with any university.
We help students explore what to study and where, based on their own interests and goals. The platform combines a psychometric study quiz, personalised university matching, and career exploration tools with Lumen, a personal study guide built into CYU.
Built by a team with over 20 years of experience in Australian higher education and student guidance.
Used by students from 400+ Australian high schools. Free for students, free for schools.

Yes, but it's free and takes about 30 seconds. Students can browse field of study pages, career information, and university profiles without an account. But to take the quiz, save their results, use UniMatch, or chat with Lumen, they'll need to create one. They just need an email address. No school approval or setup required on your end.
Students choose whether to share their profile with their school. You'll always see aggregate data (how many students, which fields are popular, quiz and UniMatch completion rates). Individual data is available only if the student opts in.
Student data is stored securely in Australia. Students control what they share. CYU does not sell student data. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
CYU uses AI (Lumen) to help students explore their options. Lumen's responses are based on each student's quiz results and saved items. Data is stored in Australia. AI outputs are advisory, not prescriptive.
Yes. Students can delete individual items anytime, like saved fields or universities. If they want to remove everything, there's a full account deletion option in their Account Settings that removes all their data permanently. Students also control whether their school can see their profile.
The CYU Virtual Expo runs in May 2026. Your students can explore universities live. Learn more at the Expo page.
